some pics from the korean queer culture festival here. quite small for an urban zone of 25 million+ people, but the lack of sexual overtones and the feeling that these folks really were risking social pariah status made for a very nice festival and parade. there were several young girls (<22) and the old guard (35<). conspicuously absent were the 20-something pretty boys that i saw filling itaewon's homo hill later that night. i guess they're only gay from 10pm to 6 am.
