if you've noticed that several of seoul's neighborhoods seem to end with the suffix "dong", you're a stickler for details. but, don't mistake this as lack of creativity or mere coincidence!
seoul city is divided into 25 gu (구), or districts, which are sub-divided into 522 dong (동), which are basically neighborhoods. dongs, in turn can be divided into tong (통), which can be split into 102,796 ban (반)... but seoulites usually ignore anything smaller than their dong.
(if you just laughed, kudos for sharing my pedantic sense of humor.)
