sorry for the meagre posting as i have had houseguests the past few days... hmmm so many posting-related excuses of late.
anyhow, i snapped this shot this morning. one thousand or so hanok (한억), or traditional korean homes are being preserved in bukchon, a very cool area (literally means "north village") located in-between gyeongbuk and changdeok palaces in central seoul. it will definitely be the site of an upcoming field trip.

A great site! Just discovered it this morning.
Bukchon and Samcheon-dong are my favorite neighborhoods here in Seoul, I'm always meeting someone there or better yet, comfortably walking there and being grateful to be in Korea. I love it!
